Really nice place. As you walk into (what you think is) the front door you are greeted with a wonderful garden leading into the main area where the rooms are located. Mimi was such a wonderful host. The apartment is located just minutes away from the old town and the views of the old city as you walk down the stairs and alley-ways

Lovely place and a lovely host! It is very close to the parking garage making luggage hauls simple. The walk to old town is quick and simple as well. You get the convenience of old town without the noise.

Villa Anica was fantastic! The host, Mimi was so helpful with day trip suggestions (sailing and private winery tour) and transportation. The location was fabulous, the room was clean, and the Villa was like a fairy tale! If you go to Dubrovnik, you HAVE to stay here! My friend and I loved it!!!

The owner Mima was FANTASTIC, the area is perfect, close to Old Town Dubrovnik and the rooms are beautiful... Mima made us feel like we where at home, as a mother goose and was great on recommendations, that where all spot on!!! This was our second visit on 2 years, and this will become an annual destination spot for us... Would recommend Villa Anica to any traveller, whom appreciates wonderful service and exceptional accommodations!!!

We travelled to Dubrovnik for our honeymoon. When we came upon our Villa we were greeted by the lovely owner Mimi. She and her husband Goran were genuinely warm hearted and care about their guests. Their home is beautiful and we enjoyed staying there and also sailing with Goran and their son. One day we will have a return visit to see the magnificent walled city, stay at Villa Anica and look forward to seeing our friends Mimi and Goran once again. Beautiful, unforgettable honeymoon!

Everything was great! Very friendly and helpful hosting family. We got many good tips from them of local restaurants, walking trails, activities, concerts etc. Location good - we like walking so did not mind the stairs to the old town. WiFi worked perfectly as well as air conditioning. Good breakfast, too. Airport shuttle service worked perfectly, too. Even the cat was nice!

The villa is ideally located only 10mins walk from the old town and close to a lot of major bus routes. It sits beautifully on the top of the hill with lovely views of the sea and with a large garden that all guests can use. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of tips on where to go for swimming, dinner etc - all suggestions were spot on and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Srdan and Mimi were extremely accomodating. My wife and I stayed 1 evening to enable us to stay and enjoy the city before our move on to our holiday destination in Montenegro. Srdan picked us up from the airport, was there to greet us, took our cases, and had a cheery disposition, even stopping on the way to the hotel to enable me to take some pictures of the bay. The journey which took us right to the hotel door, was roughly 20 mins and cost us 350 Kuna (about 35 Euro), the going rate by all accounts, but with a personal touch. A very nice young man. His mother Mimi was there to greet us and show us to our room, which was modern, airy, and well kitted out with all the items required for our stay. We had arrived earlier than the 2pm get-in, but this was no problem, and we were offered a cup of tea and lunch. The view from the window was very picturesque. The bathroom housed a walk-in shower and a bidet which the wife loved. We were given keys to our room and the entrances and off we went to explore. Dubrovnic Old Town is a beautiful destination and we were right in the heart of it. It is not for the faint-hearted though, since there are lots of steps. In the morning we were ushered to the verandah to enjoy a fabulous breakfast (10 euros each) and I was Extremely impressed that Mimi had made a point of purchasing items that my wife was able to eat (she is coeliac and allergic to Wheat and Gluten) 'Top Notch' service in accomodating her. After breakfast, by prior arrangement, we were able to enjoy some more sights in the town and leave our luggage safely at the hotel, even though our check-out was meant to be 10am. We were then whisked back to the airport and dropped by her son at 4pm. Thank-you both. Excellent.
Villa “Anica” is a beautiful 300-year-old

Great central location, only 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the old town. Very clean, modern apartment. There is some street noise but nothing more than could be expected when staying so central (in a reasonably quiet area). The owners went well above what could be expected to help us out. We only left this morning but will definately recommend to family and friends. Thanks for a great stay in Dubrovnik

Extremely friendly and supportive, you feel like you are at home. The atmosphere is 100% Croatian with delicious organic wine and breakfast. Everything was just perfect. The house belong to a family and ran by this family, so toy feel like at home all the time. Very cosy, homey atmosphere. The location is super, five mins from the Old Town, quiet street, partly sea view. Owners also gave us a parking card for the neatest parking for free, very convenient! Lots of people write about the steps and yes, they are there, but its an old city on a mountain, t do you expect?)

Clean & modern apartment run as a B&B (breakfast extra) by a very accomodating couple, very relaxing and quiet we were completely at home reading and eating on their patio surrounded by fruit and vegetables grown for our consumption. A perfect hide away a short walk away from the busy old town.

The owners were very nice, the villa was quiet, very clean and a perfect place to visit dubrovnik's historical center which is just a few minuts walk.

This was the best we've seen in Croatia. The perfect mix between price and offering. The location is beautiful and near the city's points of interest, the room and services are 4* quality. Villa Anica offers a great vacation experience, with its nicely trim Roman-like terrace where the owners grow Mediteraneean herbs and flowers and which offers a very nice view of the old city and the sea. Breakfast was rich and tasty, served on the beautiful terrace by our the very hospitable and friendly host. All in all, highly recommended!

Anonymous/young couple/Switzerland/July 30, 2013
The villa is up some steps from the old town. We felt that it offered a peaceful setting out of the centre of town, and when we were there the air felt fresher higher up as there was a slight breeze. The hostess was very friendly and the villa was attractive and clean. We were offered fresh produce from the garden and an excellent breakfast. For those unable to climb the steps, it's possible to get a cable car up from town to a short walk away from the villa
